Here are a bunch of my photos from Australia Day 2005. I made my way to Sydney’s Darling Harbour to see one of the numerous city-wide firework shows. I was too far from the Harbour Bridge for the biggest show, and people there camp out all day for their seating spot. I left 45 minutes before showtime and was able to fit into the crowd. See the photo set here and hit the jump for more photos.
I really wish I could be there now.

The gathering crowd
Finding a vantage point
Maybe I’ll camp here
Too late to find a place to stand up there
Everyone seems ready
The show begins
I already showed this, but here is where it should be in chronological order
Nearing the end
The final big bang
The crowd heads home
Fun with shutter priority settings
