In the past, the weaker Saturday Night Live sketches were found towards the end of the show, as they wanted to hook in the audience with the funnier (obviously subjective) sketches at the beginning, before audiences go to sleep. The producers have seemed to figure out that it might be better to spread the quality around if you want people to watch the entire 90 minutes. The most recent episode, hosted by Anne Hathaway, featured a skit where Andy Samberg impersonated Mark Wahlberg to great effect. This sketch was one of the last three of the night.
