We spent another hour at a Super Wal-Mart last night, our second trip to this store, having visited another one 4 freeway exits away. Both are open 24 hours a day, and this one was nicely quiet at 1am, with restocking boxes, palette jacks, and cardboard filling the grocery aisles. I bought a bottle of lemon lime G2 for 88¢.
Earlier in the day, we took the Inside CNN Studio tour. It was pretty neat, though very short at 55 minutes. The rest of the building is cool, and the lobby/food court has a world map designed in floor tiles. Photography and recording was not allowed (and mobile phones must be turned off, not just silent) , so I only have photos (coming soon) from the ground floor and exterior.
Post-tour, we were too late for the Turner Field tour, so we went to Atlanta Underground, an undergroung shopping arcade (touristy and unimpressive), then to a proper shopping mall, Lenox Square. For all the stores I’ve visited, I have bought two bottles of G2 and a soda (not including aquarium and CNN souvenirs). They like to go back to the same places repeatedly (Wal-Mart, Target, Old Navy, Costco, etc.) because they remember they needed to look for something, instead of writing it down and making fewer trips.
